A Wonderful Trip to the Eastern Shore

Our first bus tour to the Eastern Shore was a great success. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed visiting Eyre Hall in Cheriton. There is not enough space here to describe this wonderful home but the link below is a great reference.

We extend special thanks to H. Furlong Baldwin, the current owner of Eyre Hall for opening his private residence to members of our historical society.

We also enjoyed a visit to the historic Eastville Court Green and a nice luncheon at the Historic Eastville Inn.

Our visit was greatly enhanced by members of the Northampton Historical Preservation Society that guided us through the visit: Nan Bennett, Randy Stuart, and Kathleen Coalter. Thank you!

All of us are looking forward to soon visiting this historical area again.
