We had a wonderful meeting and presentation on the history of the James River at the Williamsburg Library on Sunday, October 13. Our attendance was very good, especially considering we were competing with several events for parking and an audience.
Thank you to Sharon Short for coordinating the excellent speaker, William (Bill) Fox and his presentation.
We are very pleased to note Mr. Fox sold all the books he brought and we wish all of you happy reading.
Special thanks also to Carol Harrison for serving cider and cookies and making that area a place to “meet and greet” our speaker.
From the moment people walked through the library doors, Carol Boozer, Jeannie Takesian and Nancy Pledger welcomed our members and guests. Creating a feeling that “one belongs” goes a long way.
Thanks to everyone who gave us a Sunday in October we won’t forget.
