About The Event
Virginia, the birthplace of our nation. Home to our nation’s greatest leaders and its most hallowed ground. Virginia is rich in its beauty, stories and historic landmarks. It is also one of the first states in the country to recognize the importance of protecting historically significant buildings, landmarks and properties.
Our TVHS Sunday Lecture Series welcomes Virginia’s preeminent architectural historian Calder Loth to the historic Kimball Theatre in downtown Williamsburg. He is the retired Senior Architectural Historian for the Virginia Department of Historic Resources where he served for over 40 years. He was instrumental in the development of Virginia’s state preservation easement program which has led to the preservation of so many of our historic landmarks. He is a sought-after lecturer, serves on the advisory committees for several Virginia landmarks including Preservation Virginia, Historic Richmond Foundation, Gunston Hall and many others and an author with works including: The Virginia Landmarks Register and The Making of Virginia Architecture.

Registration will open on Thursday, August 15th.
A $10 Non-Member fee will be collected at the door for all guests attending with TVHS members.
